Big Miracle

"We started the program in April 2006. Everything was going good, but in Aug 2006 it was getting harder because we had to get credit cards. I thought 'We can't do this.' but we got 2 cards and then things started going better. We got in the lender hands in Feb 2007. We gave them everything they needed and were working to close on our house by the end of March.

"But then in Feb 2007 we had a bad tragedy. Dale & I were in a very bad accident. A lady hit us head-on causing us to be hospitalized. I was trapped for 45 minutes in the car. They had to cut me out. Then I was life lined (airlifted). I laid in Hershey Medical Center for 18 days and 4 surgeries. Dale was in for 11 days. We thought that everything we worked for of buying our house was lost.

"Our daughter got in contact with our coach for us and told her what happened. They both helped us to stay in contact with each other till we got home from the hospital.

"We got home in March 2007 and started to pick up everything again. It was hard to get back in to it because of our injuries, but I wheeled myself around and was getting everything they need trying to do my best. But after everything we been through we finally got our house and settled on June 8, 2007. So when I sit and think of everything we went through this was a Big Miracle to us. I would like to say if you think you can't do it, you need to say I can do it. Because if we done it you can do it.
